Hanabi Japanese Grill and Bar in Brandywine

Amazing environment.Had the shrimp tempura roll, California roll and miso soup, very delicious.The salad is out of this world had to get 2, definitely a must on the restaurant list.

Customer service is outstanding. Staff is courteous, professional and attentive. Food is amazing and the chef is awesome. Highly recommend.

The bar area service and cocktails during the week are excellent. On the weekend...... mediocre. Food was still tasty, but it took much longer. Tha appetizers came at the same time as the main course.

Very good although they close the hibachi too early

On my off day I came to Hanabi and had a great experience at hanabi. Great atmosphere and food. Two thumbs up the employees at the bar really bring everything together for maximum pleasure. I would totally come back again and again and again

The avocado salad is really good, along with the sushi! And the owner is so sweet. Highly recommend!

Aubrey is an amazing bartender! Great food, atmosphere is very chilled and laid, service was EXCELLENT! The manager kim was very nice checked to make sure everything was good did we need anything. ( we didn't) GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

The best I’ve had so far

I've been here several times during happy hour in the bar section. The establishment is clean and has a nice atmosphere. Their happy hour options and quality of food is good. If they had a sweet potato roll though, I would definitely come more often.

This place was ok, the shrimp were over cooked and I'm not sure if it is a good buy for the price. I'm not sure if I would go back, but it was not horrible.

I always go to the bar. The entire staff is very welcoming and make great drinks. The crowd is friendly..you can easily make new friends here. Oh yeah, the food is good too...

We went here for dinner last night. My son loves this place literally. lol And I have to say I was disappointed. Took forever to get our long island iced teas. We even thought about just paying for the drinks and leaving. The kids drinks came with no issues. The waiter claimed nobody knew what happened to our drink ticket and the bartender didn't either. Saying she was going to get them right away. We finally did get our one drink. We never saw the waiter again to get something else to drink. Our chef had to get her attention. It wasn't even packed at all. Chef Jimmy is always nice and entertaining. He always remembers us. We could have just went to Kobe's instead or somewhere in St. Mary's. After the night was done and spending $125. It could have been better.

We’ve driven by and finally stopped. Everything was great. The house salad didn’t have the typical thin ginger dressing which was refreshing. We came in for sushi but ended up being intrigued by their specialty rolls, which were really good. We’re looking forward to our next visit and trying the sushi. The wait staff was prompt and friendly, and we thought the prices were very reasonable for what we received. We’re definitely coming back!

This is my go to place. Always live the food, the chefs that we have built a relationship with, and the owner. Come and the wife normally go every Friday. Can’t wait til COVID-19 is over so we can sit and enjoy like we use to.

Excellent service at the bar! A bit pricey but that’s a hibachi grill for you. The food was superb and plentiful!

Usually this is my go to spot for Hibachi because everything is usually great, but today the front desk was beyond rude, table was sticky, the waiter messed up the drink order, the bar made a bad daiquiri, the waiter forgot the soup course and the food tasted so so. All around not a good experience.

Will definitely be going back! I got the Hanabi roll and the Sushi C platter (with a side of the Philadelphia roll) and it was great! The staff was welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. If you are in the area I recommend eating there!

Decent food, nice atmosphere and budget friendly pricing. The service was only ok at the bar. Took a little longer to order and get my food than expected. Staff was having a good time with each other which meant longer wait times. Service on the grill side was much better. The hibachi chef was stiff and unoriginal but the food was well prepared. Overall good experience over my few visits.

I've never been to a Japanese grill, and actually sat down to see the pyrotechnic stuff. This was amazing!And I loved the hibachi chicken! Delicious! And the chef was so nice and was so cool to watch!

I love it because the food and drinks are really good. Bar and happy hour menu is reasonably priced. Atmosphere is cool. Service on the bar side, however, is VERY slow. I've noticed they're trying harder, but I really think they need more bartenders/servers during peak times. The hibachi side is great. I love the entrees and the cook I had was quite talented. This is definitely one of my go-to spots.

Fun, I don't think our Chef was as good as the others. He was a little messy. Food was good. They took good care of my food allergies by preparing food separate.

Went to get some food and waited almost 10 minutes no one ever greeted me at the front desk. Looked in the bar area no bartender several workers looked at me and never greeted me. I would give no stars if I could. Never again.

This restaurant treats you like you're family. From the moment you enter until the time you leave, they are all so friendly. If you're dining in or taking out, the professionalism is always on point! The owner introduced us to the Phoenix Roll and she didn't disappoint. It was very tasty. She is such a doll!

The food was good. The chef was entertaining. Wait service was very slow and we had to ask for things twice.

The food was good. However, they overcharged my debit card. Good thing I kept my receipt and when I called to inform them of thier error they blamed it all on my bank which was completely false. I believe someone there pocketed the extra $36 I was overcharged by $36 and some change. So customers be aware, keep your receipts, dispute the matter with your bank to ensure you get your money back because these people will not do so nor will they offer you anything for inconveniencing you. Bad attitudes by management when you call them out on their error.

Excellent Food and Service. Great place Adult and Kids with Food Allergies. They Cook the Food on a separate Grill to prevent Cross Contamination. This way my son is not lefted out because he has Food Allergies . Excellent.

It was my first time at this restaurant for sushi/hibachi and this place provided an exceptional service with the best quality food. I ordered sushi platter and filet mignon/scallop hibachi and the meat was perfectly cooked to medium rare as requested and sushi were so fresh it felt like it was melting in my mouth. This place is perfect for group events/holiday events because it is so spacious! Highly recommend for quality food, great service, spacious and clean place!

I always sit at the bar. The vegetable tempura is a favorite, and the sushi rolls never disappoint. The drinks are generous - just one WooWoo for me with dinner. Highly recommended.

They over priced

Visited the restaurant earlier this week and the service was horrible. Was seated at the table at 6:50 and the waiter didn’t come over to take drink orders until 7:20. When asked about the delay the waiter shrugged his shoulders. I asked the manager and he was nonchalant also. They didn’t come back over for water refills and then we had to request the check more than once. Food was marginal.

Outstanding food! Amazing hibachi grill "show" and extremely friendly customer service.

The chefs can't cook. Fried rice is flavorless. The either burn the shrimp or the rice everytime. The steak is usually ok and a decent portion.

Shrimp Tempura... Looked great on the outside but cold as Antarctica in the middle.

My family and I came here to celebrate my mother's birthday. The owner was so nice. Very hospitable and accommodating. She gaves us some California rolls on the house to try. They were delicious. We will definitely bring more of family and friends back.

The food is always fresh. The staff is very friendly and professional. Me and my family eat here once a month. I tried the Phoenix Roll and really enjoyed it. The spicy Tuna gave it the right amount of heat.
